Goodbye NZFW
w/ Kelly (from Kelly Thompson Illustrations), Adam (from Le 21ème), Dame Pieter (NZFW), Anna (NZFW), Bailey (Kate Sylvester), Briony (i-D), James (Onofield), Amber (Seventh House), Keya (Lonely), Alex (Dazed & Confused), Katherine (Katherine is Awesome), Jo (ASOS), Kelly (Sans Peur) & our lovely minders for the week. This is going to be one monster New Zealand Fashion Week post to finish off my all my NZFW posts. I took so many photos over the week and I just didn't know how to sort these all so I figured I'd put it all in one massive post. When I accepted my invitation to Auckland, I was full of excitement but also a little bit nervous as I was travelling by myself and knew no one there. But Auckland and NZFW couldn't have looked after me better and after five days in this friendly and vibrant city, I came home with so many new friends and had the pleasure of seeing some of my favourite NZ designers and also having the chance to get acquainted with some new brands as well. Thank you Anna and the beautiful team and volunteers from NZFW for making my week such a joyous one, thank you Mercedes Benz and the friendly drivers for helping me get around and thank you Sky City Grand for making my stay such a comfortable one. Lastly, sending so much love to the beautiful Izzie for assisting me with photos during the week - such a sweet, creative soul to be around - you can check out more of her pics here. It's been a whirlwind trip and I can't wait to be back to explore not only more of Auckland, but the rest of this beautiful land right next door to home. Our home every day at Viaduct Harbour!ITZME was a personal highlight from the New Gen showcase - absolutely loved the quirky mix of prints and knee length skirts. At the Huffer exhibition with a shirt full of cupcakes. The sweetest Izzie who helped with pics during the week!
The rare few minutes off in between shows with my black and white essentials, Katherine & James. Antipodes makes the most beautiful glass water bottle I've ever seen. Wait til I get Tom onto these <3_<3
Some pieces from Salasai that caught my eye - that burgundy jacket most definitely has a spot waiting for it in my wardrobe!
Visiting Kate Sylvester to get peek before the show & see the super pretty sister line 'Sylvester' in person. So much love for the lace lingerie and cosy knits. The entire Kate Sylvester & Sylvester colour palette makes me so happy!
Glittering down the runway at Trelise Cooper.
Backstage snaps w/ James - at Juliette Hogan. (Shakuhachi coat | ASOS cupcake shirt)
Briony & Alex - such lovely, lovely people to chat with before the shows!
Jo, Amber and Kelly - So many lovely dinners, lunches and finger food had with these three.
Stolen Girlfriends Club - The show that kept us all wondering why we were at a speedway race track at 9PM at night, trying to figure out just where the runway would be. Such a crazy, cool venue.
Finally met Amanda after chatting online for so many years & Kelly, such a talented illustrator who also shares my love for Karen Walker x Benah.
New talent Lucy McIntosh presenting edgy, wearable pieces that I would just love to take straight off the runway!
Dining in between shows at cute pastel decorated places on Ponsonby Road with Hannah, Talisa and the Ruby girls.
Pia gets me. I could take this all to Bali with me at the end of this year. Absolutely spot on with the fun fruit prints, kimono and lace.
Thank you, NZFW! <3
