Japanese breakfast set for one (though for us it was for two with leftovers!). It comes with a bento box with sushi, meat, fish, tofu, rice, egg custard, miso soup, juice, tea and fruits.

Our last stop in Bali was beautiful RIMBA Jimbaran. I wanted to balance hillside Ubud with somewhere by the beach and Jimbaran just happened to be one of those beach side areas I had always wanted to visit. We booked our stay at RIMBA, AYANA's sister resort. It was cheaper at RIMBA and all guests could visit both resorts as well as the private beach, so we thought why not! RIMBA is a more inland resort and when I looked at it on Google maps, I thought it would be really inland and in the middle of no where. However, it's actually right next to AYANA and everything including Kubu Beach is really close and not as inconvenient at all. I loved the chilled out vibe at RIMBA with its luscious jungle-like grounds (RIMBA means 'jungle' in Balinese so you can see where the inspiration for the resort came from) though the resort itself was completely packed with guests. I hadn't seen so many people in Bali until we left Ubud!If you ever find yourself at RIMBA Jimbaran, some of our favourite things were:
Visiting the Orchid Tea Lounge: this pretty place is new to RIMBA so isn't even on the official resort map yet. It's at the back of the resort across the large park land area and is a beautiful glassed room decorated with orchids. They serve Balinese style afternoon tea here as well as iced teas and other drinks :-)
Ordering the Japanese breakfast set from the room service menu: The breakfast set is big enough for two so my sister & I ordered this for breakfast in the morning. The room service menu in RIMBA is pretty standard pricing for a 5 star resort in Bali. We read heaps of reviews saying it was expensive (so we were expecting Australian 5 star hotel pricing) but in the end when we got there it wasn't too bad. It's about $10-20AUD for most mains. The breakfast set above $25AUD. The only thing you need to remember at RIMBA is that everything is priced excluding a 21% service & tax charge. Which then adds on some more dollars.
The Balinese pizza from the Pool Cafe / T'oge Restaurant: You can get this pizza at both places but it's more fun to dine at the pool side cafe where they bring it straight to you!
The sweet staff: As with everywhere in Bali, I just love the hospitality and friendliness from every one in every hotel. Staff are always smiling and happy and love to stop to have a chat or crack a joke. One of the best things about Bali are the people.
Relaxing in the secret bale near the Orchid Tea Lounge: If you just want to get out of the sun like us, there's a randomly placed bale just around the corner from the Orchid Tea Lounge. It's massive, probably fits like 10 people and is the perfect place to chill out. Go find it!
