A dreamy morning spent mountain-top is the perfect way to enjoy a weekend. In fact, sometimes I flirt with the idea of actually living on Mount Dandenong. How different the crisp morning air would feel and how close you could be to the endless expanses of forest and parks excites me to no end. The only thing stopping me is the drive up and down the mountain and what a lifestyle change it would be. For now, I think I'll stick to being a visitor of the area and oh what a beautiful area it is to visit. If you're not from Melbourne, Dandenong Ranges is a popular area of low mountains frequented by both tourists and locals due to its convenient distance from the city. If you're looking for somewhere to explore, The Alfred Nicholas Memorial Garden is a nice place to start. It's spectacular in Autumn with its overhanging trees and burnt orange filled paths. The highlight of the garden is the iconic boathouse that reflects so perfectly on the lake - a magically serene place to explore and adventure with the camera.Photography: Rowena Cao using Canon EOS 7D Mark II
