Part #2 of my Copenhagen things to do / places to see guide is here! Most of these places you can get easily to on foot or by public transport.

I love Rosenborg Castle and Gardens but boy does it get busy here! This was probably the busiest place we visited with many tour groups popping by every day but I guess it's busy for a reason because Rosenborg is such a relaxing, fun place to be! To begin with, there's a massive garden with lots of different things to see - there's the tree lined path, the rose garden, heaps of flower bushes and even greenhouses and I swear I saw veggie patches too. And then there's the castle in the middle, grand as grand can be. Do pop by.

#8 CHRISTIANIA

Freetown Christiana Copenhagen

Christiania is one of those controversial areas in Copenhagen. It's a self-governed Freetown which is infamously known as the place where illicit drugs are sold opening on the street. There are 3 rules in Christiana: 1) No running (because it may be seen as a police raid and cause everyone to freak out) 2) No pictures (because of the illegal dealings there) & 3) Have fun. We visited the area in a group so it felt a bit more safe than going in by yourself and I guess it was quite an experience! Everything illegal is done pretty openly in there in a surprisingly somewhat peaceful manner. It's not something I would be upset I missed but since it's such a unique place, we passed through.By the way, there's a nice piece of street art out front, corner of Prinsessgarde and Badsmandsstraede.

Alongside Christiansborg's Tarnet, this is the another place you can climb up to get a view of Copenhagen. There's also the Round Tower as well but we took that off our list because climbing three places for three similar views would be a bit repetitive. The fun thing about this church is that unlike the lift in Tarnet, you have to actually walk up a long set of stairs to get to the top. Both views are similar but if you were strapped for time and I had to recommend just one between the two, I think I would recommend you go up the Tarnet because that ones got more of a inner city view and is not ticketed & doesn't require effort. This one's ticketed and is an exercise!

Grundtvigs Church is one of the more further away places to visit on this list  as you have to take transport there as it is a little more out however this Expressionist Architecture building is one of the most well known churches in Copenhagen. Beautiful inside and out and worth the visit if you have the time.

Because the Botanical Gardens are right next to Rosenborg Castle & Gardens, it's super easy to come here before or after. The gardens itself are beautiful but my most favourite part is probably the Palm Conservatory, a large tropical space (see the first picture of this post) filled to the brim with plants. There is also a fun sky bridge in the Conservatory that takes you around the upper circumference of the building but warning, it is dreadfully humid and hot up there!

#12 MARBLE CHURCH (FREDERIK'S CHURCH)

[ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]Everything is so close by in Copenhagen and with all the walking around you'll be doing, I'm sure you'd pass the Marble Church at some point. This is one of the other impressive churches in the city as its copper green dome tends to stand out quite a bit. The best views of the Marble Church can be found from the grounds of Amalienborg castle (one of Prince Frederik & Princess Mary's many residences)!

#13 SUPERKILEN PARK

Superkilen Park

Superkilen is a public park in the Norrebro district and and is known for its unique looks. Part of the park is painted in bright red, pink and pastel hues and the other part of the park filled with white squiggly lines. It was created to celebrate diversity and is filled with objects and artefacts from around the world, each representing a different country. If you look closely you can spot neon signs from Russia, a bull from Spain and many more interesting things! That concludes my top favourite places to visit in Copenhagen. If you haven't already, check out part #1 of this post to see the complete list!Photography: Rowena Cao & I / Canon EOS 7D Mark II
