I’ve always loved nature and plants in my life. Gardens, trees and the great outdoors that show so much wisdom in the way that they are still, content and just be. I feel like there is a lot to learn from our natural environment, and I’m at my happiest when I’m exploring outdoors, where there is no building in sight but instead endless rows of trees, water or blue skies. Standing in secluded places like Hokitika Gorge and Mt Cook National Park, where we as humans, are so insignificantly small compared to the vast beauty of what around us.

It’s my admiration for the great outdoors that makes me love having plants at home and dreaming of a luscious garden out back. It makes me feel like I’m surrounded by nature, wherever I go. So much so that I started a second Instagram account @leafkeeper to document these things! And it’s these sorts of feelings that inspire my love for creating, with so many of my flower crowns and accessories drawing inspiration this world.
