Step Inside Bellagio Shanghai

With Shanghai being one of the biggest cities in the world, there are so many hotels to choose from when visiting that it's easy to feel dizzy at the thought of it.

We recently had the chance to experience Bellagio Shanghai in Shanghai, China and I thought I'd do a quick tour of the hotel here for those who might be looking for somewhere to stay in Shanghai!

Bellagio Shanghai only recently opened and is the first Bellagio Hotel in China and the second in the world. Its sister hotel is Bellagio Las Vegas which I'm sure you have heard of!

Bellagio Shanghai is located quite central and only a couple of train stops away from popular shopping district Nanjing Road Pedestrian St. The train station is around the corner, perhaps a 8ish minute walk away.

At Bellagio Shanghai, we stayed in the Deluxe twin room. I'm pretty sure this is one of their more basic room types however I assure you this room is far from basic! It's basically suite sized, with a huge bedroom area, ample seating, study, walk-in style wardrobe, dressing table and a ridiculously beautiful bathroom.

Check out the bathroom below! This hotel had some fabulous lighting for make up routines and the bathroom is filled with Biology Skin - an Aussie natural hair & skin care brand. If you see it in a hotel, you know you're in good hands. Definitely bring these products home with you after, you'll love them!

We also tried the daily breakfast buffet at Cafe Bellagio. Both of us absolutely loved the curation of foods at the breakfast buffet. There's plenty to choose from including ham and cheese, fruits, breads, salads, as well as my favourite part of the buffet, the dumplings, xiaolongbao, wontons, noodles and porridge section. They also offer an a-la-carte menu of breakfast mains as well which you can order alongside as part of your breakfast.

However, I think Bellagio Shanghai's best kept secret is the rooftop terrace. It's only open Friday - Sundays in the afternoon/evening and we only chanced upon it whilst exploring the hotel and you must make time for this! Bellagio Shanghai's rooftop has one of the most beautiful views of The Bund and the best part is, you're not standing shoulder to shoulder with everyone trying to get a shot. It felt like an absolutely VIP experience seeing this view and having it all to ourselves.

We were so lucky to have such a stunning view of The Bund and with the whole rooftop to ourselves, we were able to do some light painting in the dark. Shanghai really lights up in the dark - it's one of the best cities I've seen for night photography and when the lights go on, a million cameras and tripods are always out and about on the street waiting to get the shot. So to have something like this to see privately was the most incredible, surreal sight ever and absolutely made our Shanghai trip that much better.
